Not an auspicious start to the day that eBay are due to meet with investors and lay out their plans for the next three years – it would appear that PayPal is glitching today with users having trouble logging in, making payments and transferring money to their bank accounts ready for the double bank holiday weekend.
Downrightnow.com shows the site has been glitching for the past eight hours, although there’s no official announcement from PayPal on the PayPal site notifications.
One particular worry on the eBay forums appears to be sellers trying to book and pay for couriers for their last collections before Easter. Not shipping today will mean last nights sales won’t move anywhere before Tuesday next week, unless sellers make a trip to the Post Office on Saturday… that’s assuming that you can find a Post Office that’s open and not affected by strike action.
Let us know if you’re seeing a glut of unpaid items, or if everything seems normal for you and you’re able to log into PayPal as per normal.

we have taken a couple of payments over the phone where the customer could not log in to pay – and could not sign in this morning to check a paypal chargeback that came through overnight..
I haven’t been able to log in to paypal all day today.
Very frustrating.
What will happen when Paypal doesn’t work after the new seller update immediate payment rules come in force? I bet there will be a solution for big outlet sellers.
I noticed PayPal stopped working about 14 hours ago when trying to process some sales.
Can’t login to any of my PP accounts and can’t buy anything online because of the login issue.
I think that to have a condition like this prolonged for even more than 1 hour is serious. To have to contend with it for a whole day and without ANY explanation from PP is just terrible IMHO and couldn’t be good PR or market confidence for PP. This must be costing millions in lost sales the world over. This is SERIOUS guys,.. can we have some official response please?
It works again.
Simply clear cache and history.
The solution was posted on paypal facebook page of all the places.
So from now on if you have a problem with ebay or paypal make sure that you check their social networks pages…
