It was a close run competition, but Wholesale Clearance beat Genie and the Geek in the final of the Tamebay Cup. Having already played earlier in the competition and held each other to a draw, it was a nail biting final to see if Genie and the Geek could win for a second year in a row.
It wasn’t to be however, and Wholesale Clearance triumphed to be named Tamebay Ecommerce Cup managed by Genie and the Geek champions for 2013.
There was plenty of action during the night with some key must watch games. eBay and Amazon held each other to a draw unlike last year when eBay were trounced 4-1. Drawn in the same group which Linnworks was leading, eBay and Amazon both won their final group stage matches knocking Linnworks out and proceeding to the quarter finals.
We’ve not confirmed ages, but we think the oldest players were probably Keith Bird, CEO of eSellerPro, and Steve Boland of Seller Dynamics.
All in all it was a great night, we’ll have more photos and full match results later, but in the mean time congratulations to all teams who took part, thanks to the team from Genie and the Geek of organising, keeping score and generally making sure people knew which pitch they were playing on at what time, and especially a huge cheer to the champions – the guys from Wholesale Clearance.

Luzern must try and organise the Irish version of this – plenty of potential teams located here here ( eBay, PayPal etc )
Then we’ll get Geenie and the Geek to organise the Champions League version.

Well that’s us back at work after a long drive back to Scotland yesterday. Still a bit tired and stiff but we had an absolutely fantastic time at the tournament. All the guys are definitely up for doing it again next year although we’ll need to bring more subs and work on our fitness! Thanks again for organising it, the pictures are great.
PS- Paul Taylor of Seller Dynamics is actually a few months older than Steve!
so has the ebay team still got their legs attached?
