After years of having an account Manager at eBay early last month we received a rather impersonal and cold email telling us that we no longer qualify for one (despite significant growth year on year ). It also means that we will no longer had access to the their retail promotions calendar as these are now only available to businesses who have an account manager. The process of elimination seems rather sketchy and we as a business are not entirely sure what way eBay is looking to go . We also heard that they had consultants in to help them through this process of elimination . As a retail business it is very hard to plan with eBay in mind any more. We are seriously looking at shutting down our eBay business as our sales have tanked since this change . Does anyone have any insight into eBays strategic goals for the future and understand who or what their focus is ? Is any one else experiencing the same does any body have any insight into this at all? What is eBay upto ?
