You can now get Amazon-Preferred polybags, boxes, stretch wrap, bubble wrap and more directly from the new Amazon Prep and Packaging store.
Amazon say that they have a large selection of prepping products to help you with your every packaging need, including tapes and dispensers, boxes, stretch and bubble wrap, scanners and much more. Not only that but it’s Amazon preferred material so you know your FBA items will be acceptably packaged.
The thing is abnormally for Amazon they may not be the cheapest. I checked the first item displayed in the Amazon Prep and Packaging Store (Scotch Tape) and it was cheaper on eBay.
That said Amazon have an amazing capacity to deliver on time and if you’re in a rush or want a one stop shop for your packaging supplies it’s worth checking out. The eBay option offers delivery in a week’s time between “Thu. 29 May. and Mon. 2 Jun”, whereas on Amazon if you have an Amazon Prime subscription you can get it tomorrow for free, or even without Prime they have a multitude of delivery options either chargeable or free.

I emailed Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and Amazon UK office on the 3rd of May to suggest selling marketplace sellers packaging material at low and affordable prices. Not expensive brands but the packaging solutions they use themselves or even negotiate with the suppliers and let the sellers buy direct.
It was an idea to give Amazon customers a pleasant and positive experience from market place sellers but I never heard back, maybe they are busy or not interested.
I saw this link and jumped with joy but when looked at the prices and what they are offering, I had to sit down again. Who would want to buy a £3 box to send an item which is being sold with free shipping. Tape and bubble wrap, very expensive.
Hugely disappointed 🙁
i dont usually sell items that need boxes (most are flat letters etc), but i have noticed that some of the boxes my amazon purchases come in are seemingly unique amazon sizes.
eg i had some items that i sent off in an amazon box (recycling in action), but then when i tried to find that size box on packaging suppliers sites (to send off another same sized item) i couldnt find them.
there is also a couple of webpages out there that ask for buyers to measure their amazon boxes and have a list compiled.
a good idea if they sell these boxes that they use.
price would be an issue though, im sure most people on here wouldnt need pockaging materials FAST, as they would keep stock to cater for what they sell. unless they utilise “just in time” practices.
