Amazon’s Sunday deliveries have quadrupled in a year

Amazon says that its Sunday deliveries in the UK have quadrupled over the course of the past year in further evidence that shopping habits are changing and flexibility on deliveries is sought by customers. Sunday deliveries are facilitated by Amazon’s own delivery logistics network.

Sunday deliveries are now available in most of the UK’s major cities. And the Amazon Logistics business provides opportunities for local and national delivery companies to deliver products on a Sunday. Sunday delivery is free of charge for members of Amazon’s Prime.

Jamie Stephenson, UK director for Amazon Logistics, said: “We’re excited that so many customers are taking advantage of Sunday delivery and that so many local and regional delivery companies continue to join the Amazon Logistics platform. This is just the beginning – we recently opened a new delivery station in Glasgow and we hope to expand even further in the future.”
