It’s the first week of the New Year and eBay have already announced a new hire in a senior UK postition. Rhian Bartlett joins eBay from Sainsbury’s and has been appointed eBay’s new Senior Director of Soft Goods.
Rhian was Business Unit Director for Sainsbury’s Grocery Non Food Division. She previously held roles within other major retailers, including Safeway, Superdrug and Homebase. Her new role at eBay will be to develop eBay’s strategy and drive growth in key non-durable categories including clothing and home & garden. This will cover everything from deals to merchandising and we’re looking forward to seeing how she can increase sales for small and medium sized sellers.
Welcoming Rhian, Tanya Lawler eBay UK Vice President said: “eBay has been changing the way people shop for the past two decades, and we remain committed to blurring the lines between online and offline shopping, with initiatives such as our Click & Collect programme in partnership with Argos. Rhian’s deep expertise across both physical and digital retail, along with experience in key categories, makes her an exciting senior addition to the eBay team.”
