Why you should be selling to Australians

Worldwide Parcel Services ship a lot of parcels all over the planet, so have a pretty good insight as to which destinations attract the most sales from the UK. One of the busiest locations is the other side of the world – Australia.

That shouldn’t be a surprise, we’re closely related cultures and importantly they speak English so there are no language barriers.

It’s not that long ago that getting a parcel to Australia would take months, but today air services from DHL and UPS aim to have delivery completed in under 4 days.

If you’re still not convinced that you should be targeting Australia in 2015, Worldwide Parcel Services have produced the infographic below with some fun facts from the past year’s shipments:

  1. I’m in the UK and have shipped to Australia for a few years.

Never lost a parcel (ship standard Royal Mail) and I can honestly say that Australian customers are some of the nicest and friendliest I’ve dealt with. Absolute pleasure selling to them 🙂

  2. DHL / UPS take 4 days to Oz!? yet Royal Mail mid Nov/early Dec were taking 4-5 weeks hence i had 4 unhappyt Aussie buyers. Yes i agree Oz buyers are usually great but i won’t ship there next Christmas, takes far longer than it should and i can’t afford the resultant defects
