What would you do with your life if, in your early-twenties, you had successfully built an online business from scratch, serving the needs of tens-of-thousands of customers around the world and then, some ten-years later, sold that business for a cool $169m? Would you sit back and enjoy some much deserved downtime or would you follow Aaron Houghton’s example and start building again?
Aaron Houghton, co-founder of iContact Email Marketing, is back with a new service designed to help marketers distribute their marketing content across a network of relevant sites.
BoostSuite describes itself as a co-marketing platform. It helps match content publishers with like-minded businesses and enables them to share content via their blogs, helping them to drive traffic, build brand and community, and ultimately selling more. The service for example could see a retailer selling sports equipment sharing content with a gym or a health club and vice versa, helping attract new visitors and generate sales for both parties.
All content is approved by human editors before being made available to the community to ensure quality. Content should be 100% original and of an informational nature (not promotional).
The company already works with thousands of retailers using services like Shopify, Bigcommerce, Volusion and eBay.
BoostSuite offers a free service allowing members to trade one piece of content per month. Premium membership, offering unlimited trades, starts at just $19 per month.
