We’re grateful to a tip-off from a Tamebay reader to report two eBay UK pricng promos for private sellers that are currently underway. You might already have seen them.
Until midnight on Monday, it seems that selected private sellers can list up to 100 items for free and then pay no more than either £1 or £3 in Final Value Fees. Sellers need to opt into the promos and needless to say Terms and Conditions apply. To find out if you’re eligible, check out your My Messages on eBay or your email. Or check out the pages below.
Here are the two landing pages for the promos:
For the £1 promo: https://pages.ebay.co.uk/promos/2016/3042.html
And the £3 promo: https://pages.ebay.co.uk/promos/2016/3043.html

Are ebay having problems attracting higher priced items ?
There’s already a promo until the end of January for unlimited free listings – up to your selling limit of course – which in many cases could mean over a thousand free listings, yet they still appear to be trying to encourage more/’better’.
I realise many of the readers here are businesses with no immediate interest in promos like this, but surely the very fact that it’s happening ought to be taken note of, as an indication of eBay’s possible struggles and the long term implications ?
