Amazon have released their Summer 2016 trends report. There are some interesting stats on what the top selling products are but the stand out stats for me are the marketplace trends.
Amazon marketplace sellers now make up 48% of Amazon.co.uk’s total unit sales. Almost one in every two products is sold by a third party seller like you.
£1.4 billion of goods was exported by marketplace sellers with sales to the EU up 33% since 2015.
Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) shipped over a billion products for third party sellers, this includes both products to UK customers as well as increasingly through Amazon’s pan European fulfilment services to end customers in other EU Countries.
Amazon have now invested over £4.6 billion in their UK infrastructure since 2010. This forms part of their €15 billion (and growing) investment across Europe.
