This time two weekends ago eBay’s team, led by Fergus Walkinshaw, were just completing the Restoration Live challenge and feverishly screwing on the last few parts to the Land Rover they restored in just three days.
We’ve now got the final time lapse video from the Silverstone Classic festival where the restoration took place in front of a 100,000 strong crowd of motor enthusiasts. The aim of course, to demonstrate that eBay should be the first place you turn to when looking for motor parts and accessories and to position eBay as the place the world shops first.
You can tell how much the motor mad crowd appreciated the three day restoration from the cheers that went up the first time the engine fired back into life. eBay achieved one goal for certain, 10s of 1000s of festival goers visited the eBay pits, saw the work being carried out and heard the message that all the parts and accessories came from eBay.
