eBay GTC listings failing to renew after 30 days?

We’re hearing that there may be an issue with Good til Cancelled eBay listings not automatically renewing at the end of a 30 day period.

Having noticed a large number of Good til Cancelled listings failing to renew daily for the past week, one seller called eBay a couple of times who said that they are aware of the problem. The seller tells us that they are losing quite a lot of sales history as unless they are relisted within 3 hours you lose the lot, watchers and history.

Have you noticed any of your listings failing to renew? If so is there something obviously awry with the listing that would cause it to fail?

  1. There have been general problems with the Ebay system for a few weeks now.

    This is probably one of them.

  2. We’re in the process of setting up some automatic tests to flag these events up to customers/automatically relist as and when they happen. Should be possible to notify people within 15-20 minutes of listing ending so well inside 3 hours.

    Happy to provide that without charge whilst these issues are going on.

    Could really do with someone who’s being actively affected by it to test this with so get in touch if we can help.

  3. seems to be one thing after another,i see paypal is having a major glitch too no email notifications being received
