Over a thousand Amazon Marketplace sellers taking part in their Black Friday Sale which is being extended to run for a full 12 days starting at midnight on Monday the 14th of November and running until 23:59 on Friday the 25th of November.
Last year, Small and medium-sized businesses operating on Amazon UK’s Marketplace had a record Black Friday in 2015. The number of units dispatched through Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA), a service where Amazon stores, picks, packs and delivers items, was up by more than 70% year on year. This year Amazon say that more than a thousand Amazon Marketplace sellers will also participate in The Black Friday Sale, offering double the number of deals compared to last year, providing customers with an even larger selection of offers on great gifts for friends and family
As well as thousands of deals on a range of products from day one of the sale offered on a ‘while stocks last’ basis, there will also be thousands of ‘Lightning Deals’ introduced throughout the sale – products available at a discount, in limited quantities, for a short period of time. Amazon Prime members get an exclusive 30-minute early access period to all Lightning Deals.
Selected deals will also be available through Prime Now which covers about 30% of the UK population offering a selection of gifts, gadgets and Christmas treats which can be delivered in under 60 minutes for £6.99 or in a two-hour delivery window of your choice at no extra cost.
Last year Black Friday 2015 became Amazon.co.uk’s busiest day ever with more than 7.4 million items sold, at a rate of around 86 items per second.
