Packhelp, a company that supplies customisable packaging and boxes for small and medium businesses has launched in Europe. They say that prices start from €0.43 and the Packhelp app service is available in English, Polish and German with more languages expected in due course. The website service can be used by customers all over Europe.
The idea is that you can create designs and personalise the packaging using an online console with templates without the need to go to a designer.
Co-founder and general manager Wojtek Sadowski says: “The idea of Packhelp comes from our own experience. I have tried to order several dozen personalized boxes myself and it turned out to be an impossible task. It was a nightmare. The order I wanted to place was too small for printing houses to even consider opening my e-mail. We wanted to make it easy for ourselves, but we quickly realized that there are more businesses with exactly the same problem. And they aren’t just small to medium size companies. During our test phase, we manufactured boxes for brands such as Nivea and Uber.”
Of course, branded packaging isn’t for everyone but it does have its uses when the price is right. It can be very handy if you’re selling a a private label item and building a brand. And if you’re pushing your own web store it’s a useful vehicle for promoting it, especially when you’re fulfilling marketplace consignments. It’s one way you can promote your web address away from eBay and Amazon’s prying eyes.
