eBay target 8.5m 15-34 year olds in Capital Radio partnership

eBay are to become the new sponsor of Global’s Capital network and Capital XTRA Breakfast shows. The partnership will also see eBay become the launch sponsor of the brand new Capital London Breakfast Show with Roman Kemp, which starts immediately after this coming Bank Holiday on Tuesday the 2nd of May.

Capital is the UK’s no.1 hit music brand giving its 8.5 million weekly listeners the biggest and best hits around the clock. The national sponsorship will provide eBay with an opportunity to target the 15-34 year old Capital audience, driving consideration of the site as a go-to destination for any shopping need – from one-of-a-kind finds to the most popular brands and everything in-between.

As part of the partnership, eBay will have a permanent presence of the Capital breakfast page on capitalfm.com and the Capital XTRA in the morning page on capitalxtra.com, which will be used to promote both buying and selling on the online marketplace. This will also appear across the Capital and Capital XTRA social channels and mobile apps reinforcing the marketplace as a shopping and selling haven.

This is a pretty big deal, 8.5 million weekly listeners represent about 12% of the entire UK population. Millions of listeners will tune into the Breakfast Show as they’re on their way to work or getting their kids ready for school.

  1. I sent a request to the Capital Ebay breakfast show but it didn’t get read out.
    When I rang to ask why, they claimed it hadn’t arrived and asked if I could send another one.
