There’s been a fair bit of chat about bank Holidays today and we have another coming up next week on Monday. But it was Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn who has suggested that we have 4 more to celebrate the four national saints in the UK. (Although considering 3 out of 4 would land in April and March doesn’t seem like the best idea.)
And myHermes has helpfully published its opening hours for customer service and collect and drop off over the period. See below. And it did get me thinking to what extent these bank holidays are becoming less important. Delivery firms are increasingly coming by on Sundays and evenings with consignments so with the rise of the gig economy, bank holidays become less universally a day of rest and recreation.
