Spanish Ecommerce Insights for 2017

No primary category set

Spain as a country is often ignored by marketplace sellers but with 46 million people and it’s relative close proximity to the UK it’s worth exploring.

Whilst both eBay and Amazon have Spanish marketplaces, you should also seriously consider selling with Privalia, Rakuten and 101gigas. PayPal is by far and away the most popular online payment method, but the Spanish much prefer to use Credit or Debit cards where possible.

One thing that makes Spain very attractive for cross border trade from the UK is that delivery is typically expected within three days of purchase. That’s pretty generous compared to UK consumers who routinely expect next day delivery, plus whilst they certainly appreciate free delivery, the Spanish are accustomed to paying to receive their online purchases.
