eBay.com webinar will examine product-based listing with the eBay catalogue

No primary category set

If you are interested in the changes coming to eBay and want to better understand the new system related to product-based listing with the eBay catalogue, as announced in the Spring seller release, then you might want to check in with an eBay.com webinar announced on Tuesday.

As they say:

In the Spring 2018 Seller Update, we announced our transition to a product-based shopping experience, ensuring that your products show up on the site the way today’s buyers expect. We also announced the first group of product lines for which sellers must associate their listings with the eBay catalog before the end of April.

The eBay.com webinar is billed as: “Listing Changes for an Evolving Marketplace: Transition to a product-based shopping experience, and learn what you need to do to be included in the new experience. Participate in a live Q&A to get your tough questions answered by eBay experts. We hope you’ll join us on April 11 at 11 a.m. PST.” You can find out more here.

When it comes to the catalogue approach the first categories that require attention on eBay.com are:

– Amazon: Echo, Fire Stick
– Apple: iPad, iPhone, TV
– Dyson: AM Cooling Fan, AM Fan Heater, AM Humidifier, Pure
– Google: Chromecast, Home
– Jawbone: Jambox
– NEST: Thermostat
– Roku: Premier/Express/1/2/3/4

Yes, this webinar event is primarily aimed at US sellers using eBay.com so will be of most interest to merchants who sell on the American eBay marketplace. But this is also an opportunity to get valuable information from eBay on a selection of changes that will also be heading across the Atlantic in due course.

It’s a bit of shame that this event has been so late in its announcement. But 11am PST is, if calculations are correct, 7PM BST so hopefully if you’re interested in these changes, you have time to get involved. But even if you can’t join in with the live event there is also a dedicated chat board thread that you can contribute to from now until the 20th April. You can find out more here. And doubtless the webinar content will be available after the event.
