Forget the Fifa World Cup in Russia, it’s The Ecommerce Cup 2018 that will be top of the agenda for online retailers and industry partners this coming June. If you are yet to enter a team, it’s not too late to play in the biggest football event of the year for the ecommerce world. Held at Play Football in Shepherd’s Bush, up to 50 teams will vie for the prestigious Ecommerce Cup, now in it’s 6th year.

The Ecommerce Cup is not only a hotly contested tournament but a great opportunity to meet customers, suppliers and marketplace and network with industry peers. It’s open to any organisation that operates in the ecommerce arena, whether you’re a retailer, marketplace, or ecommerce service supplier.

The event will run from lunch time through to the evening giving teams more playing time, more matches than ever before and more recovery time between matches. There are full bar facilities on-site for the post-match celebrations as well as on-site catering so that you can fuel up ready for your next match.

Last year‘s Ecommerce Cup saw Just Eat narrowly beat previous winners Wholesale Clearance in the final with Royal Mail beating Magento to carry off the Shield but there were many more hotly contested matches between the 32 teams that entered. We were oversubscribed with entries so have expanded to take over the entire venue for 2018 with a maximum of 50 teams but it will be first come first served – if you’re considering entering get your team registered straight away to ensure you don’t miss out.

Now that Tamebay have been joined by InternetRetailing and eDelivery who will co-host The Ecommerce Cup for 2018, staff and Editors from all three publications will be present covering the matches, taking photos, writing up and making sure you have a great day. It’s going to be a busy day so make sure you catch us to have your official team photo taken!

The tournament takes place on the 21st of June, we look forward to seeing you there.
