ASOS have announced that their products in the Australian market were not selected for the Black Friday sale.
The marketplace have caused a national fury over the unavailability of Black Friday deals in Australia as shoppers have found their peak promo codes to be ‘not available’ for a discount.
Shoppers have questioned ASOS AU about the exclusion of their country from the Black Friday sales, and whether the marketplace considers them “people.” One of the Australian shopper commenting on the situation on Instagram said: “Why is Australia not eligible for the Black Friday sale? Are we not people?” Others have claimed that they will simply abandon the marketplace to shop for high-ticket items they would have otherwise bought from ASOS.
“We do have a Black Friday sale going on a the moment for a number of selected countries however, Australia is not one of them.We time our promotions with what makes sense in each market, and that sometimes varies by country. For example, our recent Click Frenzy promotion was not offered outside of Australia and New Zealand. Hope this helps.”

Does excluding discounts make you lose loyalty?
As it appears ASOS have disappointed their shoppers that have expected to enjoy Black Friday deals. The lack of communication with their customer has led the marketplace to lose the loyalty of some of the customers. It is expected that the marketplace of such rank would communicate promotional offers or the lack of thereof to its consumers. Or perhaps the marketplace was ready to share the joy of Black Friday sale with shoppers but their logistics infrastructure has crumbled under the mounting pressure?
