Zalando Fulfilment Solutions (ZFS) is celebrating an achievement of more than 100 brands using the two-year-old fulfilment service.
Since its launch in autumn 2017, ZFS has gained momentum amongst merchants. As of now, Zalando boasts more than 70 brands fully onboard and have signed more than 40 more brands that are now in the onboarding phase. Among them are small, upcoming brands like Ivy & Oak, as well as large global brands, including WE Fashion and Bestseller.
Zalando attributes the success of the service to two factors. First, the reduction of merchants’ fulfilment costs. Second, enabling sellers to sell more to customers across 12 non-custom markets in Europe.
ZFS takes over the complex B2C last mile processes. Merchants that sign up for Zalando’s service profit from their fulfilment expertise, which is tailored to fashion and lifestyle. Zalando’s European logistics network facilitates fast cross-border delivery. This means that brands can offer products to overseas customers in more markets without establishing their own warehouses.
How do brands benefit from the service?
Zalando say that biggest perk is the single-parcel experience. Zalando customers buy fashion annually from 13 different brands on average. As a result, 76% of items are ordered in multi-brand orders. ZFS bundles multi-brand orders together in Zalando’s logistics centres, which means one order, one parcel, one delivery.
