Alibaba are now the exclusive provider of Salesforce CRM for merchants trading in China in a bid to do ‘the heavy lifting’ for sellers’ marketing, sales and commerce strategies. Sellers trading in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan can now use Salesforce to manage customer relations.
The US cloud-based CRM solution announced the news at the Alibaba Cloud Summit Shanghai, saying it would bring the world’s number one CRM, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud and Salesforce Platform, to customers in those markets exclusively through Alibaba Cloud.
The move is set to make Salesforce an exclusive enterprise sold by Alibaba in the selected markets.
The CRM provider attributes the decision to its aim to “support multination customers wherever they do business around the world.”
This partnership sees Alibaba serving as a helping hand with insight into the Chinese market to help Salesforce provide localised solutions to merchants trading in China. Alibaba currently hold the third place in the global Infrastructure as a Service and Infrastructure Utility Services market, and number one in the Asia Pacific region, according to research and consultancy firm Gartner. Alibaba Cloud’s technology and public cloud platform underpin the entire Alibaba economy from ecommerce and payments to logistics and supply-chain management.
“Alibaba is pleased to establish a strategic partnership with Salesforce, the worlds number one CRM. As the leading cloud service provider in the Asia Pacific region, our cloud infrastructure and data intelligence platform combined with Salesforce’s market-leading solutions for Sales, Service, Commerce and more will provide global customers with incredible customer experiences at every touchpoint.”
