Coople on-demand staffing platform ready to help businesses bounce back

No primary category set

Coople, the digital, on-demand staffing platform has been well positioned to see first-hand how the current pandemic has impacted businesses’ day to day operational needs. They are also looking forward now as businesses in the UK (or at least England currently) start getting back to work and the challenges they may face with staff.

“We’re seeing a surge in demand for warehouse, ecommerce and customer service staff as online retailers and businesses with supply chains of all sizes, seek to continue operating effectively though this challenging, unpredictable time. With an increase in online purchases across many industries including, food delivery, grocery, clothing & apparel and more, we’re helping these companies pivot and adapt quickly to seize opportunity.

With all the uncertainty ahead it’s imperative these businesses remain flexible when thinking about and planning their staffing rotas. Hiring flexible workers digitally and on-demand allows companies to maximise revenue while keeping costs and risk low.”
– Kit Glover, Coople

With new government guidance for the workplace, and with many children not likely to return to school any time soon, staffing is going to be an ongoing operational concern. Many businesses will be considering longer opening hours with split shifts and that coupled with staff unable to return to work immediately won’t make things easy and you may need flexible staff for things as basic as cleaning on a more regular basis than is usual.

Coople have been assisting businesses with on-demand staffing for many different sectors over the past few months including:

  • HelloFresh
  • Providing 100 staff per day (warehouse assistants & pickers & packers) at two weeks’ notice. Three different shift patterns, morning (6am – 2pm) afternoon (2pm – 10pm) and evening (10pm – 6 am). Ability to fulfil unsociable hours.

  • Stuff U Sell
  • Hired high quality staff (warehouse pickers/packers & ecommerce merchandiser) to work over a three-month period. Ability to build up commitment at low risk before making permanent hires.

  • Soho Sandwich
  • Provided 6- 7 staff per day to cover sickness (line operators, warehouse assistants, and food line production staff), they were able to build a pool of ‘favourites’ that they could easily hire again on an on-going basis.

One Response

  1. We’ve found Coople really more useful than traditional agencies – the app is a great way to hire short term resource (for example when you realise you have staff out in self-isolation or a busy weekend) – really good to be able put an ad up, have temps make themselves available (with cv, and ratings from other biz) and hire them. All quickly, too.

We have several successful temp to perm members of the listong team from Coople as well as we increase the size of that team – again working well.
