The Amazon Small Business Accelerator e-learning programme we previously wrote about is now live, featuring more than 16 hours of exclusive bite-sized but pithy modules designed, delivered and recorded in their homes over lockdown, by some of the UK’s best-known authorities in their field.

Emma was awarded an MBE for services to enterprise in 2012.

  • Jenny Tooth
  • Jenny is CEO of the UK Business Angels Association. She has an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and was awarded an OBE in 2015 for services to small businesses. Jenny shares tips about preparing and pitching for investment.

  • Lucy Hall
  • Lucy was named the UK’s most influential woman in tech by Computer World. She is founder of SocialDayUK the UK’s biggest social media marketing festival and a director at Avviso Media, an agency that specialises in creating content for social media channels. She delivers e-learning modules on the art of creating relatable social media marketing to provoke questions, draw reactions and encourage sales.

The Amazon Small Business Accelerator is a major support package for more than 200,000 small businesses and start-ups across the UK from Amazon and Enterprise Nation. It has been developed as a rapid response to COVID-19 and the impact of the economic lockdown on small businesses.

Businesses can take a quick online diagnostic test to find the learning path that best fits with the current stage of their business – ‘Start’, ‘Grow’ or ‘Turbo’.

The programme has pulled together more than 30 experts and will deliver 39 detailed training modules covering everything from using social media, building digital skills to accounting and building a team.

“This e-learning programme stands out because we’ve brought in the leading experts in their field, united by their desire to support the UK’s smallest firms through the ricocheting impact of the virus, to produce an entirely new, up-to-the-minute package of training.

These are not educators reading from a script, these are authorities in their subject and each of them has gone out of their way to design and deliver their modules themselves in their homes, over lockdown.

This unique programme of support is free and our experts have all done this in their own time. This is a learning experience all small businesses can benefit from as we try to re-ignite and re-invigorate the UK’s economy.”
– Emma Jones, founder, Enterprise Nation
