Google Gmail down, so is YouTube, Drive etc

No primary category set

Google have had a major crash with Gmail down and users unable to access many other services such as YouTube and Drive.

Google haven’t yet made any announcement, but 10s of thousands of users are unable to access the services and with gmail down, any companies which use Gmail for Business have just gone dark and will have to resort to phone calls in the mean time.

The first you’ll probably know about this glitch is when your email tells you your account details are incorrect and you need to re-enter them. Our advice is to do nothing as all you’ll do if you try to update your credentials is potentially enter the wrong ones – you still won’t be able to get email!

Looking at complaints on the internet, it appears that Gmail is down along with other Google services across the entire worlds so something major has happened.

On the plus side, the main Google home page appears to be working and you can use Google search, however if you try signing in for personalised services in search you may find you’re logged out and once again your credentials aren’t accepted.

We’ll update when we have more information

Update

Most Google services are restored – it looks like it was an authentication issue.

Currently the traffic light system shows red across the board for today’s Snafu with the only remaining issue being Gmail down.
