Best & worst delivery firms MoneySavingExpert poll results

Once again, over 11,000 people took part in a MoneySavingExpert poll to rank the best (and worst) parcel delivery firms. Conducted just after the Christmas peak, the poll asked people to rate the performance of all the major UK delivery firms, based on their own experiences with each company over the past year.

The MoneySavingExpert poll ranks firms from best to worst based on the percentage of ‘great’ and ‘OK’ votes they get (awarding two points per ‘great’ percentage point and one point per ‘OK’ percentage point).

And top position goes to.. drumroll… DPD… for the 8th year running. DPD blame their success on their unique one-hour delivery slot service. All DPD customers receive an email or text notification of their one-hour delivery slot in advance, along with a series of ‘in-flight options’ so they can always make arrangements for their delivery, even if they aren’t going to be at home.

“It has been an unprecedented 12 months for everyone, and our industry has been one of those right in the spotlight, trying to help keep businesses going and keep families safe at home. So, I think everyone in the logistics sector deserves a massive pat on the back. I’m incredibly proud of our own drivers and the whole team for what they have achieved during this period. To top this poll for an eighth time in a row and improve our scores, with around 40 to 50% more parcels in the network every single day, takes some doing.”
– Dwain McDonald, CEO, DPD

  1. Very interesting and insightful poll, DPD have really nailed what consumers want and reaping the benefits. They also coped surprisingly well during peak this year!

  2. Lots to do with perception if brands
    Collect + 41%
    Yodel 21%
Yet they are one and the same
