Add your Extended Producer Responsibility UIN to Amazon

If you sell in France, you can now add your Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Unique Identification Number (UIN) to the EPR Compliance Portal in Amazon Seller Central as proof of compliance for all EPR product categories applicable to you.

It’s important to realise that as of the 1st of January 2022, if you cannot prove your compliance with EPR in France, Amazom will pay the corresponding EPR fees to the qualified Producer Responsibility Organizations Schemes on your behalf and recover the fees from you.

You can learn more about Extended Producer Responsibility in a Tamebay Live Masterclass from AVASK:

Amazon also want to help you understand your responsibilities as a “Producer” so to learn more about the EPR Take-Back program, visit the Amazon EPR education page.

To add your EPR Unique Identification Number(s) on Amazon:

  1. Go to EPR Compliance Portal.
  2. Choose the “Country” for which you want to provide the EPR UINs. In this case, you must select “France”.
  3. Fill in the EPR Registration Number (UIN in France), for example, FR123456_00WXYZ. FR123456_00WXYZ.
  4. Click “Submit.”
  5. Repeat these steps for each applicable product category.

In addition to registration, you must declare your sales (of products covered by the different EPR categories) and pay eco-contributions to the respective Producer Responsibility Organization for the applicable reporting period. Amazon are still developing their EPR Report solution and more information will be shared soon.

Select Service Providers from the Amazon Seller Central Partner Network now offer EPR support, and can help you to prepare your EPR registration applications. To contact one of our vetted Service Providers, go to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Service Provider Network. Once you’ve completed your registration, add your EPR UINs to the EPR Compliance Portal.
