Whistl has announced that Parcelhub has opened a new depot in Leeds to meet demand for its parcel consolidation and multi-carrier solutions from West Yorkshire based ecommerce retailers. With the on-going strike disruption in the carrier industry, if you are based in the area Parcelhub Leeds is an option worth considering.
Parcelhub links 20+ carriers and 600+ delivery options directly with marketplaces, order management systems, ecommerce and customer experience platforms.
The 11,000 sqft Parcelhub Leeds depot is located on the Confederation Park, Lowfields Road, with easy access to the M621 and joins Parcelhub’s other Yorkshire based depot located near Sheffield.
The Parcelhub Leeds site will initially be operated by 13 employees of which 10 are already working with the company. As the site grows, the operations will generate more job opportunities which will include supervisors, collections drivers and warehouse operators.
Additional investment has been made in electric vehicle charging points for Parcelhub’s new Maxus eDeliver 9 electric vans.
Whistl has opened several Parcelhub branded depots in recent years with the latest in September in Smethwick, West Bromwich. Other sites cover the East and West Midlands, East London and Essex.
We are delighted to be expanding our ability to provide ecommerce retailers in West Yorkshire with a personalised service and local collections and consolidation of their parcel volume through one point of contact. These customers will now benefit from our attractive carrier rates which have been secured due to our size and scale.
– Steve Marjoram, Managing Director of Parcelhub
