eBay have announced the appointment of renowned fashion stylist and pre-loved fashion advocate, Amy Bannerman as its in-house Pre-Loved Style Director.
As a self proclaimed eBay obsessive with over 20 years of experience buying and selling on eBay, Amy will apply her passion and specialist experience in pre-loved fashion to this new position.
The new role at eBay sees Amy take on a range of new responsibilities within the fashion arm of the online marketplace’s business. Amy’s key responsibilities will include styling and sourcing for eBay’s fashion related campaigns, styling for key talent that work with eBay, on site merchandising consultations and acting as a fashion spokesperson for the brand.
Prior to adopting this role, Amy has worked closely with eBay to style the Islanders in the Love Island villa in pre-loved gems sourced from eBay, including a selection of pre-loved, authenticated sneakers and garments from eBay’s Imperfects range. This is a job she is continuing to do in her new capacity.
Alongside the Love Island partnership, Amy will play a key role in eBay’s partnership with Vogue Forces For Change – which celebrates sustainability, diversity and changemakers. As part of her role, Amy will be working with the British Vogue team to find pre-loved gems on eBay for upcoming activity, as well as giving consumer’s insight into how to tap into trends through vintage and pre-loved on eBay.
With the milestone tenth series fast approaching, first Amy looked at the remaining clothes from the previous series, to send back into the villa in a bid to encourage re-wearing and extend the life cycle of those amazing items. Then, since Amy has spotted the gaps, she has been going in with a plan on eBay to find more stylish fits for every occasion on the show – from the fire pit, to date night. Most recently, Amy met with the Islanders ahead of the show going live to gauge their personal preferences and source pre-loved pieces for the upcoming series which she knows they will love.
Still on the hunt for a few more pre-loved gems, for the first time this series, Amy is calling on the public’s help for, by asking them to share items they’re selling and would like to see in the villa on social media using the hashtag #MyLoveIslandListing for the chance for it to be purchased by her for the Islanders.

Get your preloved outfits on Love Island
In one of her first tasks as eBay’s Pre-loved Style Director, Amy Bannerman will once again be sourcing fashion from eBay to style series 10’s Love Islanders in pre-loved. In search of another iconic statement piece similar to the yellow Versace co-ord, originally bought by Maria Semenova in the 90s and then worn by Tasha Ghouri, Olivia Hawkins and Ellie Spence – for the first-time, Amy and eBay are calling on you to get involved and help by listing your pre-loved gems!
This is a great chance for business sellers of pre-loved to be in with a shot of some high profile publicity if they spot one of their sales on the iconic ITV show.
Just put your item up for sale on eBay share a picture of what you’re selling on social using the hashtag #MyLoveIslandListing by Wednesday the 31st May.

We need you! One of my favourite things about pre-loved fashion is the story behind each piece and I love being able to continue each piece’s lifecycle. In particular, we’re on the hunt for brands including Rat and Boa, House of CB and Arne. Co-ords are key, whether it’s short sleeve shirts and shorts for the guys or maxi skirts and corset tops for the girls. We also know the Islanders like to show a little skin, so please do dig out those high-slit skirts and cut-out dresses that although might no longer be right for you, would be perfect for the new Islanders. Simply head to eBay and sell me your pre-loved item, for the chance for it to end up in the villa wardrobe!
