This year, eBay have introduced new Multi-user account permissions that you can now delegate to your employees to make managing your business easier.
Multi-user account access (MUAA) is a way to delegate your workload. For example, you can assign specific tasks to an employee, such as creating your eBay listings or printing postage labels. You’ll also access detailed activity logs for each account you add.
Once you’ve selected the permissions you wish to grant to another eBay member, they can only act on your behalf while in Seller Hub, and can only perform the tasks you’ve given them permission for. Your password and any other personal details associated with your account are secure and won’t be shared with the accounts you invite through MUAA.
One of the complaints about eBay Multi-user account access has been that they didn’t give enough permission options, so it’s great to see eBay expanding their reach.
New permissions for Multi-user account access (MUAA)
MUAA gives you full control over what your employees can do on your eBay account and what they’re able to see.
eBay have added 3 new permissions that you can delegate to your employees so they can now manage your M2M Messages, Create and Manage your advertisement Campaigns and Create and Manage promotions & buyer groups.
This change will not affect existing permission which lets your employees:
- Create and edit drafts
- Publish and revise listings
- View orders
- Download order report
- Add postage tracking
- Print postage labels
- Research products using Terapeak
- Manage refunds, requests and disputes
These new permissions are available now for you to delegate to your employees to make managing your business easier.

Just checked this and it looks like they still haven’t sorted out the messaging part of eBay for other users. Until this happens then it’s not much use.
I have the option for ‘Manage member to member messages’ within ‘Permissions’. I have been monitoring this and it has been added recently.
This multi user journey eBay have been on has been slow and disapointing. Why not just do what Amazon does – allow all features of the admin panel to be toggled per user? Its a waste of time and what’s worse is they enforced MFA and we have a shared phone for accessing the SMS which isn’t much good when you are at home on an evening and want to adjust a business policy or something. You could get an email code as a fallback when no access to the SMS but they closed that avenue too.
