Selling to the EU with IOSS on Shopify made simple

Category: Operations

A new partnership between Landmark Global and Xendo makes selling to the EU and taking care of VAT through an IOSS solution simple. Landmark Global already ships large volumes of ecommerce sales for IOSS-registered sellers into the EU, not only from the UK but also from the US, Canada and round the world, via their Heathrow facility. Xendo extends this service for sellers looking for a managed IOSS solution.

We sat down with Paul Leach, Sales Director at Landmark Global and Harry Emerson, Sales Manager at Xendo to find out more. You’ll be especially please to hear that setting up a managed IOSS solution for Shopify will only cost a couple of hundred quid up front and then pennies per transaction, ensuring that you VAT compliance for your EU sales is all taken care of up front.

  1. The problem with IOSS is the fact that some countries pick and choose which goods, or specifically which tariff codes they will allow to be IOSS – despite the fact that marketplaces charge it regardless, meaning some customers are asked to pay tax twice and all the problems this causes….

It’s nearly impossible to get a definitive list of these country specific requirements which often change from month to month…

Broken system. How easy we used to have it….
