Vinted has announced that Vinted Pro has officially launched in the UK, meaning that for the first time businesses can register on the marketplace as sellers. Vinted have already started messaging existing sellers informing them that Vinted Pro is live… with a bit of a suggestion that they might like to upgrade their account.
Main changes you’ll want to know are that it’s still free to sell on a Vinted Pro account, you can have a pro account and a personal account, Pros have to offer 14 day returns, and businesses are required to display their contact details.
As of today, Vinted say that if you are a professional, you must declare yourself as a “Pro Seller” on Vinted and they’ll be instructing you to do so if they identify you as a business and then you’ll have the joy of ticking boxes and building your Ts and Cs (outlined below) and everything else that comes with being a business instead of a consumer seller.
Vinted API
A big bonus of a Vinted Pro account is that it opens up access to Vinted Pro Integrations. This is an API tech solution for businesses selling second-hand on a larger scale enabling you to seamlessly integrate your catalogue with the Vinted platform.
Not only will you benefit from automated updates between your own shop and Vinted Pro account, you’ll even automatically get PDFs of Vinted shipping labels with each sale.
However a word to the wary… you’ll need knowledge of API implementations, it’ll take a month or so to get set up and you’ll have to map your database fields to Vinted’s taxonomy. Frankly, for most sellers, it’ll be worth waiting until your favourite multichannel software provider does the work for you!
