Sidharth Das and Stefania Daranco have launched GETKIKI, a new online marketplace for sustainable women’s activewear. Launched just last month the platform aims to showcase activewear brands to millions of shoppers who are conscious about sustainability.

“GETKIKI was created with sustainability in mind. Sustainable fashion is more than a process of manufacturing eco-friendly clothing and accessories. It is a system where the fashion brands design, manufacture and sell their products by keeping the wellbeing of people and the planet a priority. We believe that you don`t need to sacrifice your fashion sense to wear eco-conscious garments. We partner with the most forward-thinking brands and leaders in sustainable fashion, where we help each other to utilize our knowledge and skills, for achieving a sustainable future. After diligent research, we created a curated marketplace with beautiful, high-quality, and sustainable activewear pieces.”

In a survey last year just over half of consumers want to see a more sustainable fashion industry. One key finding in this survey was consumers not being able to clearly identify which sellers are sustainable. Despite many sellers already taking steps to become more sustainable, the message is not getting through to the public and almost half of the respondents said that it was challenging to know which fashion merchants are committed to sustainable retailing. Having a marketplace completely dedicated to sustainable athleisure with sellers vetted to ensure the products being sold are in line with GETKIKI’s brand vision and identity is a great way to help solve this issue and take out that guesswork.
