eBay are the first mainstream UK marketplace to start selling CBD (Cannabidiol) with a new category opened up at Health & Beauty – Natural & Alternative Remedies – CBD Products.
Previously, the sale of CBD products on eBay was banned globally so this is a sea change by the UK marketplace and one we can already see that eBay are highly regulating. It’s effectively a gated category that you will need to be approved to sell in, so just because you see approved sellers offering CBD products on eBay UK don’t think that it’s ok for you to do likewise – you’ll probably have your account sanctioned and potentially selling privileges suspended or removed.

There is an obvious demand for CBD products and it’s likely that eBay have been very cautious in launching the category. Approved sellers will have been closely vetted to ensure that not only are they reputable but that the products they supply are approved for use in the UK. This is likely to have included ensuring products offered contain pure CBD oil with none of the nasties that are illegal however pleasant their effects might seem.
