The previously announced changes to Amazon FBA fulfilment fees will take effect today, the 31st of March.
Amazon say that to better align fees with their fulfilment costs, they will:
- Reduce the dimensions of the large envelope 960 g size tier from 33 x 25 x 5 cm or smaller to 33 x 25 x 4 cm or smaller
- Introduce a new size tier, extra-large envelope 960 g, with dimensions of 33 x 25 x 6 cm or smaller
- Add a new small-parcel size and weight tier, which will result in two size tiers for parcels
Also, for small oversize, standard oversize and large oversize items, the weight tier will be determined using the greater of the unit weight or dimensional weight. The dimensional weight in kilograms is calculated as (length x width x height in centimetres) divided by 5,000. For more information, go to Dimensional weight.
This change will apply to units fulfilled locally or through Pan-European FBA or the European Fulfilment Network. We will continue to use unit weight to determine the weight tier for envelopes, parcels and special oversize units.
The changes described above could be why you might see higher fees starting today. For more information, go to 2022 Amazon Europe FBA and referral fee changes summary.
Loose packaging is another reason why your fees might be higher than expected. To learn about how fulfilment centres take measurements and ways to avoid discrepancies, go to Understanding item package weight and dimensions.
If you still believe that your product measurements are incorrect, you can submit a remeasurement request.
