If you’re reading this, don’t you think your customers could be too?

England footballIf you haven’t been paying attention, . And someone, somewhere on an eBay forum, right now, is writing something about “there’ll be no sales for the next two hours then”.

Predictable buyer behaviour is good. Even if it’s predictable that they’ll be doing something other than shopping with you.
If it’s predictable, we can – not to put to fine a point on it – take advantage of it. We know that some people will be watching, and some people will be wishing it was all over, so:

  • offer a special deal during the match only, for football widows and widowers
  • offer celebratory free postage for the two hours after the game (if England win)
  • offer free shipping to Scotland until the day of the final, as commiseration 😉
  • offer a voucher that offers a quid off for every goal that England score

The next England game is at 3pm on the 23rd. What are you going to do to make sure you’re a winner?

  1. we are delighted that those who watch England
    may not be buying,
we like our customers sane !

  2. I’m taking part in a supplier promotion offering half price stuff as long England remain in the tournament – I think it’s going to be a fairly time limited promotion….

  3. Good Idea Sue

So we took up your idea.
We have a soccer product on ebid and we are offering a one extra free one to celebrate New Zealand’s draw against Italy.
    (we are soccer minows)
Our product is called the Adkaf.
(hope that is not too blatently advertising)
