eBay seem to have far too much broken at the moment: checkout still isn’t combining multiple item’s postage correctly; PayPal still don’t know what time zone they’re in, neither does dealfinder; Links in the PayPal user agreement still link to dead outdated pages (I reported the one for the commercial entity agreement over two years ago and they still haven’t fixed it!).
Now they’ve broken the “With Bids/Reserve Met” link in My eBay. I first noticed this yesterday evening, called eBay about it today, and now have heard it’s affecting other users as well. It doesn’t appear to affect everyone though. On top of that sellers have found the new 10p/5p listing fees for media catagories weren’t implemented this morning. Sellers that held off listing for the new rates to take effect are now going to be waiting for invoice credits.
If that wasn’t enough new sellers have been unable to register on eBay using a switch or solo card. eBay helpfully suggest using a credit card, but lots of people don’t actually have them.
It’s frustrating when the site doesn’t work, the old code soup needs fixing, but there really is no excuse for errors such as time zones. Still, tomorrow’s Friday so either a host of old niggles will be fixed, or they’ll create a load of new ones to bug us in the morning :-p

For anyone struggling with the “With Bids/Reserve Met” there is a workaround. Click customise, add “# of Unique Bidders”, save and then sort by “# of Unique Bidders” and job’s a good’un 🙂

It seems to be the latter. The online SYI form has been amended to look very pretty but amending letter fonts & sizes a) doesn’t work & b) results in being told that “Your selections have caused errors. Please click Continue below to go back and correct your errors.”
