In keeping with recent policy eBay has taken steps to ensure sellers listing the new Playstation 3 console are fully verified. Sellers must be PayPal Verified, have their eBay account linked to their PayPal account, and only offer PayPal as a payment option. Additionally new sellers can only list one console, and are barred from using the BUY IT NOW listing option. To list more than one console sellers must have fifty feedback with a 98% or higher rating. One day listings are banned.
This follows the earlier guidelines for pre-sales of PS3 consoles from early March. In the US sales of the PS3 on eBay were slow, with many sellers returning them to stores as supply from the manufacturer actually kept up with supply. If the UK is similarly well stocked prices on eBay may not reach sellers expectations.
There are currently several hundred PS3 consoles listed on eBay and some are ending unsold
