This sounds pretty fishy. Does anyone believe StubHub has more power over venues than Ticketmaster? StubHub is like an eBay for tickets, not a promoter, what leverage do they have? It looks to me like the band did a deal to sell their best tickets on StubHub https://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=28728254&blogID=243444199
Check out https://www.lynyrdskynyrd.com/ In Birmingham they love the governor – and they don’t like Ticketmaster y’all!
Interesting – thanks guys! At time of writing, lynyrdskynyrd.com has a huge banner on the front page advertising tickets for sale on StubHub, and the band’s MySpace page says “StubHub Designated as the ‘Rowdy Frynds’ Tour Official Premium Ticket Provider”. Looks like there’s more to this than the original story I linked says… so if anyone has more details, please let us all know!
The other bands on the tour must have the same deal with StubHub. See the same ads on their web sites https://www.hankjr.com/ https://38special.com/thetour.htm Looks like Ticketmaster is up to its old dirty tricks!
