DVD pirate fined

No primary category set

A Middlesex man has been ordered to pay £3000 in fines and costs after selling counterfeit DVDs on eBay. Trading Standards officers working on a tip-off caught Robert Boyd of Winchmore Hill selling pirate copies of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Shark Tale. He pleaded guilty to the charge.

Proving once again that pirates damage business for all of us, Enfield Councillor Terry Neville urged consumers to “be wary when buying goods on auction sites to ensure they are getting the real deal”.
