aff_link("https://news.ebay.de/globalnews/item/show/1130","eBay Germany have just announced","defreeship","DE"); ?> the launch of a new icon to highlight items offering free shipping. Germany’s aff_link("https://pages.ebay.de/storefronts/markdown-manager/faq.html","Markdown Manager","defreeship","DE"); ?> is also now offering the possibility to lauch “free shipping sales” in Shops.
The same changes were made on .com last month, so sellers on other countries’ sites might expect a wider launch in the near future. As eBay will undoubtedly publicise this very well to buyers, it’s worth considering if it’s something you could take advantage of, even if free shipping isn’t normally your style.

It will help, the problem we have had when trialling free postage was that it took too much of the 55 character Listing Heading Total.
Re Markdown Manager I list my SIF on 30 days, took me ages to realise Markdown Manager was not compatable with this because it only allows you to markdown items that have been in the shop for 28 days.
This I think is Ebay trying to mirror what happens in B&M Shops but surely this could be got round by the seller clicking a box that said they had offered the item at the full price for the last 28 days, ie that the SIF was a recurring 30 day entry.
Dave, I’ve had exactly that problem myself with the title, so I’m hoping they bring the icons to .co.uk and .fr for me 😆
The nice thing about a free postage sale with MM is that it shouldn’t (afaik) be limited by the same rules that “sale” itself has in the UK – there are no rules as to when you can offer free P&P, so it should be more available than current MM discounts.
