There’s a cheap listing day for Thursday this week, Auctions and Buy it Now listings will have insertion fees lowered to just 5p.
Rather bizarrely the cheap listing day specifically excludes multiple item listings, although it runs during the multiple item promotion currently running until 23rd September.
Having encouraged sellers to place their inventory on a single listing ready for the fee changes, the cheap listing day is likely to break those multiple items down into single listings as sellers vie for visibility.
If you are going to list, work out the economics and if it’s better to have more listings or more cost effective to stick with a single listing for each line that you carry. The 5ps will start to add up if items don’t sell.

Probably the last cheap listing day we’ll ever see on ebay. Good riddance to them I say. 😆
Probably not… I’m predicting we’ll see a few cheap listing days for auctions in the not so distant future 🙂
This is too encourage people holding back on listing untill new changes on 24th , too list now.
CLD’s will continue as it is a good way too cook figures
Although multiple item listings are listed in the “What’s excluded” section of the promotion – if you look further down the T&Cs, it says “Each Multi-Item listing using the Buy It Now (Fixed Price) format will be charged the Promotional Insertion Fee regardless of the number of items listed.”
You can bank on an auction one for early/mid Dec to keep inventory high in the last minute rush for Xmas.
#4 Oh well spotted Steve! I thought it was a bit bizarre. So the T’s and C’s say “Multiple-Item listings in all formats. This includes both Auction-style (also known as Dutch Auctions) and Fixed Price formats.” are excluded as and then contradict it with “Each Multi-Item listing using the Buy It Now (Fixed Price) format will be charged the Promotional Insertion Fee regardless of the number of items listed.”
No wonder I’m confused :-p
Wish eBay US had this same promotion.
Well I have rang customer support, they do not know if the CLD is for single item BIN’s or multiple items, but they agree its confusing.
Said they would let me know when they know……….
.
Anyone been more successful with a correct answer?
It would be to nice to know in advance.
Ebay have now amended the ‘terms & conditions”, they now include multiple Bins and some Shop items ,so worth another look.
Woohooo! Thanks Rosie, great news 😀
But SIFs are being charged full price 🙁
