The aff_link("https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280310202604&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D280310202604%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1","last ever bag of Woolworths' pick and mix","woolies","UK"); ?> has been sold on eBay, with the private-feedback winner making a huge £14,500 high bid.
Certified by the administrators to be the very last, the bag of sweets was donated by an ex-employee. It was sold to benefit the charity Retail Trust, which offers counselling, legal advice, career development and retirement housing for those who work in the retail industry.
According to the BBC, eBay are now “working with the charity to ‘finalise payment’ from the winning bidder”. I do hope this isn’t another high profile auction that falls through.
