Good news for iPhone users, they’ve at last got access to the aff_link("https://mobile.ebay.com/iphone/ebay","new eBay iPhone app","","UK"); ?> listing options that Android eBay app users got back in December.
As well as an improved photo uploading with more editing tools, a snappier listing flow and faster checkout, iPhone users get the big enhancement, the ability to start a listing on an iPhone and complete it on a desktop. This also of course works the other way around, you can start a listing online from laptop or computer and then for instance add photos using you iPhone.
The other thing that iPhone users now have is what’s effectively access to RedLaser for the desktop. You can scan items such as DVDs one after the other using your iPhone and then complete the descriptions with your desktop computer with a full sized keyboard.
If you’ve got the eBay app on iPhone make sure you download the updates to get the new features. The dedicated aff_link("https://mobile.ebay.com/ipad/ebay","eBay iPad app","","UK"); ?> has also had the same update with the new features.

iphone or ipad? Both have pretty useless cameras for close up work and UK sellers pay for mobile pictures beyond the first. Listing anything other than boxed barcoded stuff through these devices makes for both a poor selling and buying experience.
So for UK sellers of anything other than new barcoded stuff what is the point of the app unless you are content with poor feedback and DSR’s.
Trouble is for the typical iphone or ipad user this is probably all they have.
Could ebay please flag up listings that have been prepared using iphones or ipads in search so that we can be prepared for listings of low quality when we enter them?
I use my office PC to list stock and use the android app to monitor sales and get instant access to messages.
I also love the feature that makes a cash register sound each time you make a sale, Cha-Ching!
I never get tired of hearing that. 🙂
Have to agree with Gary, my wife lists stuff from the house and old clothes etc using her iPhone, the listings look completely rubbish.
I get buying with a mobile, I just don’t get selling with a mobile.
I’ve been using an iphone 4 and cheap imobile for some high quality work. Did the cropping on the laptop and sent up the usual way, so I can’t really relate to comments that say otherwise.
I have noted that Olloclip do a clip on macro and zoom lense for the iphone and ipad. There may be other similar products out there but this could make a big difference to the use of the iphone and ipad cameras for ebay listings:-
