ezbob, the small business finance company has just received a £3m injection of funds and officially launched the business at a dinner with Michael Fallon, Minister of State for Business last week.
The first angel seed investment was for £512,000 in November 2011. The new funds will enable ezbob to make loans available to around 10,000 small businesses. ezbob was founded by property entrepreneurs Tomer Guriel and Sharone Perlstein.
Sharone told us “EZBOB caters to online businesses, specifically the e-tailers that are considered as micro-businesses. There is a real gap and we are already seeing this on a daily basis as small to medium businesses come to us looking for funding“.
ezbob also gains a new Director, John Garfield, founder of mortgage broker John Charcol who is one of the main investors in ezbob.
