Swapz is, as the name suggests, a classified ads site for swapping unwanted goods.
Swapz launched in the summer of 2004 and since then it has grown to be the world’s highest Alexa ranked swapping site with over 500K members and delivering over 1 million page views daily. There are always around 250K live listings on the site.
Listings remain live on Swapz until either the member deletes them or they haven’t been on the site for a predetermined period of time. Best of all there are no costs to use the site.
Swapz launched the latest build of their site on 19th March 2013 and added for the first time the ability to sell directly to other users – albeit with no payment gateway installed, users will need to make their own payment arrangements.
Swapz is 100% free to use – unless the member chooses to upgrade to Premium status. The free membership is fully featured with the prime difference being that Premium members can bump listings or 1 listing 10 times in a week. Swapz will always be free with no obligation to upgrade to premium membership.
Swapz is not a site you’re going to make your fortunes on, it’s not even a site you’re going to make regular money on, but it is an interesting new site and with the selling section is suited to occasional sellers or for items you’d rather swap than sell.

I wonder why Gumtree couldn’t do same but with integrated payment gateway, at least PayPal?
