The Delivery Conference Agenda & Speakers

The agenda and speakers have now been announced for the Delivery Conference hosted by MetaPack which will take place on the 4th of February in London.

Without a doubt deliveries and the customer experience will be what 2014 is all about, so this is one conference that every online retailer should be attending.

There’s too much innovation happening with deliveries not to give it serious consideration once the Christmas selling period is over to prepare for the next year – Timed deliveries, evening deliveries, Parcel Shops (from Collect Plus, myHermes and now National Rail), collection in store from eBay, Amazon and other companies locker deliveries and even same day deliveries – buyers are going to start demanding more choice on how their goods are delivered and The Delivery Conference is the ideal place to meet all the major UK carriers in one day.

This year there will be two streams at the Delivery Conference: The Online Strategy stream is focused on how retailers are utilising new channels to strengthen their brand and service offering. Bricks vs clicks, cross-border trade, mobile commerce, the role of data, selling though marketplaces, service expectations and winning customer loyalty – are all hot topics and we will hear from the best in the industry on how to deliver the ultimate omnichannel experience for the customer.

The Delivery Innovation stream explores how to elevate your delivery service offering by working with the best in the business. In this stream you can hear from the carriers and leading edge logistics providers on their initiatives and how retailers can take advantage of the explosion in delivery options such as ship to store, click & collect, same day, one hour, utilising local networks & international.

Tamebay will be there on the 4th February – look forward to seeing you there too. Tickets are free for retailers so reserve your place today.

  1. Quote – “buyers are going to start demanding more choice on how their goods are delivered”

That surely is not a Tamebay comment? The only choice my customers will have is to have the package delivered to a registered address. ebay and Paypal insist on this to enable both buyers and sellers to have protection. And my guess is that is not going to change anytime soon.

I possibly have as closed a mind on this subject as ebay and Paypal do.

  2. Agenda is the right word. It’s all about delivery companies trying to make more money than the consumer demanding more options.
The public gets what big business wants!

Sadly on eBay customers are able to enter any old address they like at checkout and PayPal will tell you it is ‘confirmed’. It is anything but confirmed.

I know, I have tested it myself.

Time for eBay/PayPal to shape up.
