eBay are running a promotion from today until the 19th of September for invited eBay Business sellers. The promotion offers 50,000 free listings for sellers without listing restrictions (or less where seller restrictions apply).
The promotion is for fixed price format listings and unusually for an eBay promotion if you’ve been invited to participate you have to actively opt in with an RSVP link from the email. If you have been invited you should find the email in your My eBay Messages.
We’ve heard a couple of sellers suggest that the promotion might be in response to yesteday’s outage. We suspect that’s not the case and that this promotion is part of eBay’s normal scheduled marketing activity and has been on their internal calendar for a good while.
As always aff_link("https://pages.ebay.co.uk/promos/1990/","full details of the promotion","","UK"); ?> are on eBay

Not THAT unusual anymore, Chris – this is at least the 3rd promotion in the past 6 months I’ve had to click to accept.
Useful promotion for me, and helps make up for yesterday’s debacle (although I also suspect it’s completely unrelated).

Does anyone have 50,000 items to sell?
Even if I cleared out my garage and listed each spanner and widget individually I doubt I could get anywhere close to 50k.
Ohhh, hang on, I have a big box of Lego in the attic….!!!
