British Food and Drink exports increased in 2014

No primary category set

The Food and Drink Federation says that exports of British food and drink goods was up by 2.6% in 2014 meaning that the total exports in that market now total £12.8bn. And that excludes booze.

The below infographic explores the breakdown of those sales by type and also looks at the destinations. Europe is a key export market, although the weak Euro may well be a problem this year.

Comestibles might not be an obvious sector for ecommerce sales but, seeing as the market is growing, if you have a bright idea, there is certainly no harm in exploring it.

And if you need any inspiration, the Food Exchange event coming up later in the month might be a good spur.
