eBay has launched an app for the Apple Watch.
eBay says of the launch: “We’re helping our buyers stay on top of all the auctions they are interested in; and, for sellers they can continue to stay responsive to their customers and stay informed of all their selling activity.
Developing for this size screen, eBay built the experience from the ground-up with the goal of taking wearable commerce to a level that’s intuitive and personal, just like one’s iPhone. The experience provides eBay’s buyers and sellers with timely, relevant and personal updates so that customers can stay connected to the events they’re most interested in.”
If anyone is a serious seller (and actually has an Apple Watch) and fancies having a go at doing any meaningful selling work via the Apple Watch app, I’d love to hear from you. I’m sceptical that this can offer anything more than a little bit if fun and perhaps on the hoof monitoring of ongoing sales.
If you want to know more about the eBay app for the Apple Phone, you can read up with this related fact sheet they have published.

ebay have mercy, please only allow them to bid on stuff they’ve previously seen.
I do not want to have to manage fitting a description into that abomination of a watch
I’ve seen it (the app, on a friend’s watch), and it actually looks okay.
Apple are not so much about the technology, although they’re pretty good at it, but they’re more about making the user interface user-friendly, and this app seems pretty good (for sellers – not sure about buyers yet).
